Chia, cacao and coconut bliss balls

A quick, healthy and delicious snack that can be made in advance and frozen.

Serves: Makes approx. 16 balls
Suggested serving size: 1 – 2


  • 12 Medjool dates, seeds removed
  • 1 cup almond meal
  • ½ cup shredded coconut, plus 1/3 cup extra for rolling
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/3 cup cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds


  1. Process dates, almond meal, shredded coconut, coconut oil, cacao powder and chia seeds in food processor until mixture comes together. Place in a bowl and leave for 20 minutes to allow chia seeds to soften.
  2. Place remaining coconut on a plate.
  3. Roll level tablespoons of mixture into balls. Roll in coconut to coat.
  4. Store bliss balls in an air-tight container in fridge for optimal freshness.
