Recovery with the Cabot Holistic Clinic and Salon Medica

By trichologist and master hairdresser Marilyn Searle

I think we can all agree that the year 2020 was difficult. It was a year of high stress and risk and led to rollercoaster emotions in many people. It interfered with the way we could live our lives and our physical and mental health was tested. It caused differing effects on individuals; some people became depressed, some became addicted to food or alcohol, while others just got angry and hurt those closest to them. We were living in the unknown and facing a future we had no control over. Our freedoms were restricted sometimes quite illogically. Prior to 2020, I don’t think we truly appreciated the little things in life like being able to go to a cafe with our friends, being able to go to the gym, beautician, hairdresser, being able to travel around the world, going to the shops, and visiting family without wearing a facemask. Social distancing meant we could not hug and cuddle or kiss – how boring!.

But, I think we can all agree that there have been many lessons to come out of 2020 that we can bring into the new year. We should not let the bad outshine the good. But there are people who need help to recovery, and if that’s a health check, or if you have put on unwanted extra kilos, have anxiety or you are showing symptoms of hair loss. We can help. The Weight loss Detectives have the skills and experience to get you motivated and restore clarity. So, don’t think too far ahead, stay in the present, don’t be fearful and reach out to us to help you look after yourself.

There is so much to look forward to. Life will always be changing and through the ups and downs your health remains your greatest asset. We have all been thrown a curveball but I know this is not where we are going to stay forever. We all have goals and dreams we want to achieve. Let’s embrace this year with what we can do not what we can’t. ⠀
