Nut biscuits

If you feel like you need a treat with your cup of tea, these nut biscuits will hit the spot! Generic store-bought biscuits are loaded with sugar, cheap vegetable oils, preservatives and refined grains. These biscuits are free from all the nasties and provide you with healthy fats that are needed for hormone production, brain function and skin health.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup almond meal
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  • ¼ cup chopped macadamias
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • ½ tsp Nature Sweet Sugar Substitute
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • ⅛ tsp sea salt

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180oC and grease a baking tray.
  2. Place all ingredients into a bowl, and combine.
  3. Roll into balls, place on the baking tray at least 1 cm apart, and press with a fork.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
