Gallbladder juice

This gallbladder juice is excellent for those suffering from gallstones or inflammation of the gallbladder. Green vegetables are great for the liver and will ensure it produces good quality bile and the acidity of tomato makes it easier for your gallbladder to contract.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup greens (dandelion greens, turnip leaves, kale, spinach, beet leaves)
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 5 cm slice beetroot
  • 1 medium apple (skin on)
  • 2 cabbage leaves or 2 Brussels sprouts
  • 1 large ripe tomato, whole

Method

  1. Wash, trim and chop and process all in juicer.

TIP: For variety and to enhance the flavour, you may add a small grapefruit, a little watercress or a small radish. You may dilute with water or cold herbal tea.
