Coconut chai latte

This coconut chai latte is a perfect balance of spices to warm you up on a chilly day.

Serves 2


  • 1 cinnamon stick (or 1 tsp ground)
  • 1 tsp whole peppercorns
  • 4 whole cloves
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp loose leaf black tea (or two teabags)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp honey


  1. Add spices and water in a saucepan on medium heat and bring to a simmer. Remove from heat, add tea, cover and allow to steep for 10 minutes.
  2. Add the vanilla, coconut milk and honey to the saucepan and stir through. Strain liquid and pour into two cups or mugs and enjoy.

Note: Use coconut cream instead of milk if you prefer it a little creamier!
