Coconut chai latte
This coconut chai latte is a perfect balance of spices to warm you up on a chilly day.
- 1 cinnamon stick (or 1 tsp ground)
- 1 tsp whole peppercorns
- 4 whole cloves
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp loose leaf black tea (or two teabags)
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 2 tbsp honey
- Add spices and water in a saucepan on medium heat and bring to a simmer. Remove from heat, add tea, cover and allow to steep for 10 minutes.
- Add the vanilla, coconut milk and honey to the saucepan and stir through. Strain liquid and pour into two cups or mugs and enjoy.
Note: Use coconut cream instead of milk if you prefer it a little creamier!
