Calendula (Pot Marigold) is another wonder sitting humbly in our garden, just waiting to help us help ourselves.

The flowers are rich in active ingredients and has the gift of being a powerful wound healer.

Harvest the petals, dry in a cool dry space and then combine with a light cold pressed oil like sweet almond, apricot, or macadamia.

Place the dried petals in a jar of oil and place in the sunlight to infuse the wonderful properties.

Leave until you notice the oil change to the lovely characteristic yellow of Calendula Oil, this may take 4 to 6 weeks.

Transfer to a dark bottle and share with friends and use freely on nappy rash, gravel rash, and wounds, to promote more rapid healing with far less scarring.
