We have a whole network of lymphatic tubes throughout the body, that collects fluids, impurities, bacteria and waste products from the body, and transports them to your blood for filtration and detoxification. This process is known as lymphatic drainage and is very important for detoxifying the body. When the lymphatic flow slows down or becomes stagnant, waste products can build up. Dry skin brushing activates the lymphatic system and gets the lymphatic fluid flowing more freely and efficiently, leading to improved detoxification. Here’s what you need to do: Invest in a dry skin brush with natural, firm bristles. Prior to your shower every day, perform a skin brushing routine. Start with the feet and brush in a circular motion, working your way up each leg, over the hips and buttocks and up to the abdomen. Brush up each arm starting at the hands, over the shoulders and finishing at the chest. Brush firmly and gently, in a clockwise direction. Its as easy as that!
