My platelet levels are low, is there any thing I can do to increase my platelet levels?
FIRST ITS IMPORTANT TO STAY UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF A IMMUNOLOGIST OR HAEMATOLOGIST
The condition of low platelets is called thrombocytopaenia. It can be due to:
1. Diseased bone marrow
2. Adverse drug reactions
3. Enlarged spleen and/or liver
4. Auto-immune destruction of the platelets
5. Chronic infection with some viruses eg, hepatitis C or HIV
6. Cirrhosis of the liver
So its important to know the cause!
If its auto-immune try to avoid gluten.
In all causes, do raw juicing (half a litre daily) and take a good liver tonic.
Also take selenium 100mcg daily and extra vitamin C.
Avoid toxic chemicals and unnecessary prescribed medications.
